Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
Anyone who is interested can train Mixed Martial Arts without having to fight professionaly in a cage; this does not mean you cannot train in a real cage, The training gives you a fantastic workout, while learning self-defense techniques.
Mixed Martial Arts is the combination of different disciplines of Martial Arts to make a more effective Fighting Discipline. Most people relate it to brutal sport; however this is only a part of Mixed Martial Arts.
MMA is composed of two parts the stand-up fighting and the ground fighting.
Stand-Up: Could be any art that emphasizes on strikes and Kicks like Boxing, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, and Kung Fu.
Ground Fighting: Could be any art that emphasizes on take downs and submission wrestling, like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Sambo, Greco Roman Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, and Catch Wrestling
